A traditional family winery in Burgundy
In October 1984 Olivier Leflaive, with the help of his brother Patrick and their uncle Vincent, decided to start something new. Applying the knowledge they had gained from running the family's winery, Domaine Leflaive, to their own vinification and barrel ageing both in whites and reds as well as many legendry appelations.
Noble beginnings
A great wine can only ever come from an impeccably situated and meticulously maintained vineyard. Olivier Leflaive is on good terms with many of the Côte d'Or's finest grape growers, known throughout the world for their care and attention to both vine and wine.
The white wines of the domaine are bought as grapes or as freshly pressed juice. Our head winemaker Franck Grux then has complete control over the vinification and the barrel ageing. Each cuvée benefits from the same level of care and an individual approach. Foremost in the wine making process is bringing forth the authenticity and terroir in each wine.
